Troubleshooting Power BI Access and Report Issues
Our infrastructure is built on Microsoft's Azure platform, ensuring reliability. While outages are rare, they can occur. If you're experiencing issues, follow the steps below to troubleshoot.
Check Service Status
Before troubleshooting, check these links for any known outages in your region:
Common Issues & Solutions
1. Unable to log into Power BI
- Ensure you have an active Office 365 account, as it is required for Power BI access.
- If your account is valid but you still can't log in, check the Azure Status link above for any service disruptions.
2. Logged in but unable to view reports
- Power BI reports are stored in Apps within Power BI.
- Your Power BI admin must grant you permissions at the App level.
- Once permissions are granted, you can add the app to your Power BI profile.
3. Reports are not refreshing
- Try manually refreshing your Power BI reports.
- If the issue persists, check with your Power BI admin to ensure the data source is refreshing correctly.
4. Report data appears inaccurate
- Confirm that the report has been refreshed with the latest data.
- If the data is up to date but still seems incorrect, submit a support request with:
- A description of the issue
- The report name
- A screenshot of the problem
